Cooking With Strawberry - Lemon Chicken (5)

Tonight, we alter a lemon chicken recipe to make it what we will eat and to be Deliciously More Lemony You need for this 4 Chicken cutlets (you take thin chicken breast that are boneless and skinless and pound the smithereens till they are thin and tender. Or you just shrug and use them as is because it is a long day and you don’t want to put in that much effort) 4 T. Flour Salt and pepper to taste. (I always use white pepper and I most often use course or flaked salt) 3 large cloves of garlic diced (While the original recipe called for one onion chopped fine I instead used lg. cloves of garlic diced because well I love garlic and this house uses onions sparely because we feed a non-onion lover.) 1 C. chicken broth (I used my 1 T of my home-made mix in a cup of hot water.) http://strawberryholts.blogspot.com/2016/12/cooring-with-strawberry-chicken-soup.html ½ tsp, thyme 1 T. butter 6 to 7 T. "Cooking in Strawberry's Kitchen" The Meal plan Menu (3)

In this house since I work I have found that having a menu guid line helps. After much himing and hawing about how much meat and chicken and fish and veggies to eat this is how it lands. Starting on Monday Monday - Meatless Mondays "NO PASTA" Tuesday – Pasta and Salad Wednesday –  Red Meat Thursday - Fowl Friday – Fish Saturday – Take out Sunday – Leftovers This translates into on  Mondays  we have mostly vegetables, we like so many so we eat about 3 dishes of them, some can be medleys but there is so many to choose from. Even when hard to feed Jim is home. He likes carrots, potatoes, corn, cheesy broccoli, sugar snap peas, and a few more.  On  Tuesday  I find one of my gourmet pasta dishes or sometimes it is plain spaghetti with your choice of jar sauces there is green(Pesto) white (alfrado) or red (tomato), My salads are never plain, it starts with a green leaf base mixed or just baby spinach, to which is added grape tomatoes, mushrooms and cucumbers,

"Cooking with Strawberry" Chicken and wild rice and chicken soup (2)

Today on Strawberry's kitchen is a variant of a weight watchers recipe slow cooker turkey and wild rice, but I am using half of a rotisserie chicken, 3 cups chopped or shredded, 8 oz of sliced mushrooms (because they sell them that way not in 6 oz container like the recipe calls for) 1 can of fat free cream of mushroom soup, i can of sliced water chestnuts, 1 cup brown rice, & 1 cup wild rice, 1 teaspoon garlic powder, 1/4 teaspoon white pepper( because people in my house don’t like black pepper) 1/4 dried chopped onions (because someone in my house doesn’t like fresh onions texture) and instead of 3 cans of chicken broth I am using 4 table spoon of powdered broth (which is vegan) and 4 cups of water. Then sprinkle slivered almonds over it and serve. In its original form, it was 8 points plus per serving of one generous cup and it is very filling. If you omit the meat this recipe is Vegetation. I also know there is a golden mushroom soup that doesn’t have dairy that could

Cooking with Strawberry 1 "Sweat potato, apple & chicken crock pot WWP"

Today on cooking with Strawberry, In a weight watcher crock pot cook book we found this recipe and with some adjustment it worked as vegan and vegetarian 3 parsnips sliced length wise and then slice into half coins, 2 sweep potatoes pealed and cut into 1 inch cubes, 1 onion quartered, 1 cup apple cider 2 garlic cloves sliced thin, 2 table spoons whole mustard (I use dry brown mustard seed,) 1 tea spoon dry thyme, 3/4th teaspoon salt two skinless chicken breasts, added 25 min before done 2 or 2 large apples peeled and sliced 2 tablespoons water and corn starch, top with a tablespoon of sour cream per serving as dishing out. it says to put all the ingredients together in crock pot with the chicken of top but if you do it put the chicken on the bottom or is dries out. it also calls to cut the chicken up after it cooks, you can dice it up and put it in the bottom and it is fine and easier later. it doesn’t need the chicken. and I like the sour cream but again it doesn’t need it. it feed a
